“Did you lock the door?”

Have you ever left the office and wondered, “Did I lock the door?”  If you keep valuables on hand, I’m sure you’ve asked yourself if you remembered to lock the safe.  Securing assets is part of your routine – auditing procedures and checking locks regularly.  Prevention is cheaper than cure - whether it prevents theft of cash or an intrusion into your computer system.  Just like checking locks, you should test your own Internet connection to see if you have any vulnerability - before someone finds it for you.

Here’s an easy test below that anyone can run that is anonymous, free, and gives results instantly.  Then follow the simple instructions to scan your own network.  If the results indicate one or more open “doors”, ask your technology team to find out why.  A byte of prevention is worth a grand of cure, so take a few minutes right now and make sure you “locked the door” to Internet intruders.
